He Had the Power to Will Events to Occur, It Ran in His Genetic Line - One Day He Stopped

As you know, there are rumors that scientists in 2142 had found a way to use maximum brainpower, coupled with a supercomputer. It turns out the mind is so powerful when it has the ability to process information, that it surprised much of the human race. In fact, there are certain genetic lines that once hooked up to the machine are able to will events to occur. It tends to run in certain genetic lines, and scientists have discovered which ones. In fact one of the scientists happens to have that certain genetic line, adaptation, and gene expression.

Although the scientist cannot duplicate this yet, he knows it exists. And the scientist wishing to use his powers to will events to occur is having problems justifying it to himself. He has become wealthy beyond his wildest dreams. In fact, he is only three people shy of the top of the "Forbes 100 Most Wealthy List" now. He is one of the double trillionaires, but he tries to hide his wealth, and lately he's decided to stop willing events to occur. This is because he scared himself, and accidentally annihilated an entire population under a rogue regime which threatened to use a biological attack on the United States.

He had caused a Typhoon to expand in size and intensity blowing away the Saffir-Simpson scale, if the scale went that high it would be considered a double-super-typhoon category eight. The winds and low pressure area were such that there were no survivors, and the typhoon made a direct hit on the intended country, and even steered around to friendly nations on its way to its target. He had the power of a God, and he felt he had betrayed his own personal convictions and integrity, everything he believed in. He vowed not to use it again.

How could he be so reckless? How could he cause 50 million people to die in that way? Yes the regime was an enemy of the United States, and if that regime would've used biological weapons, it would have killed 0.91 billion Americans, and yet, he did not feel that he was justified in his actions, but either way he'd have to live with that the rest of his life.

He also vowed in the name of science to prevent this technology from being used by other people in his genetic line, because he figured if he could trust himself, how could he trust anyone else, and he promised to make it up to humanity, even though no one knows what happened - by destroying the all researched records in the science of his lifetime of work.
